Participate

Below is a summary of upcoming open opportunities for poets interested in participating in WordXWord Festival events.

HEARD

Poets Creating Conversation

March 12, 7P

Unitarian Universalist Church, 175 Wendell Ave, Pittsfield, MA
Free

The prompt is HEARD. Admission is free.

Not for the faint of heart, Poets Creating Conversation throws out a single word and asks poets to respond. The results defy expectations!

Register to take the challenge and share a poem.

Equal parts art and community, WordXWord is where words go to be heard. Poets Creating Conversation is an ongoing series of events that challenges poets (and soon-to-be-poets!) to circle loosely around a theme or issue in the current social discourse to create a broad, multi-dimensional “conversation” between poems, poets, and audience.

ROOT / Stories

March 24, 7P

Dottie's Coffee Lounge, 444 North Street, Pittsfield
Free

The theme is ROOT. The stories are yours. Admission is free. Stories start at 7P.

Doors open and food will be available for purchase starting at 6P.

Similar to a story slam in spirit, WordXWord's Stories is a spirited sharing of true, first person stories told, not read, circling loosely around a theme. March’s theme is ROOT. You'll have to be there to know where the stories take us.

Interested in sharing a story? Spots are limited, register online to tell yours.
